The Mountain Cavern home of Wil Magnuson on a Earth in another dimension that is know by many names. One of it's names is Earth Ranchburger, the IOL call this dimension 2875, the Lurker calls this dimension Earth RGA because of the team of the same name lives there.

Wil just calls it home. He is the current Guardian in a long line of Guardians. They are secret society dedicated to protecting this Earth's Gateway to the Neverse, a dimension in between other dimensions. Wil's jobs is to keep what's out out & what's in in.

Wil is standing at the cavern opening, drinking some coffee. He is watching the fantastic display of a plaid wall of energy sweep across the land. Wil knew this day would happen, it was for told in ancient prophecies, scripture written by the prophets of old & in many fortune cookies. Wil knows he can't stop it. It's useless to try to stop it, but people try anyway. He can just imagine the Rightness Guild of America, the premier team of this Earth, trying to fight the wall, but in the end being swallowed up by it & the horror on there faces as the are wiped out of existence.

"Super heroes can be so stupid." Wil thinks to himself as he takes a sip of his coffee. A town off in the distance disappears for ever.

"They had good coffee." Wil thinks.

None of the mystical artifacts that have been in trusted to him for there safe keeping could save this world. Not the Emerald Generator of Zarn, that would awake a giant space robot with world saving abilities. Not the many books of magic Wil has in his collection, not even the Infinity Pencil, which can rewrite time & space, could save this earth. And so, Wil Magnuson, possibly the last in the line of this Earth's Guardians, just stands watching & waiting for the end. He has done this once before, he was told that his world would die by a man believing his was a god. The world didn't end, It was spared but at the cost of it's moon. Some people think it was hoax, but Wil knows better.

Then, a man in green and white with an “End is Near” sign appears from nowhere.

"Oh, no. Not again! Why must I be a witness." Soothsayer says in a mournful tone.

Wil turns to see him. Wil would normally usher the people who appear near the gateway back to where they came from but this man is different.

"So, you are the man the prophecies for told of. A man swathed in green & white shall appear during the great & dreadful day of the Wall. He can save no one from the destruction but only be witness to it."

"I guess so." He said mournfully, looking at Wil with his sunken, soul piercing eyes.

Wil could tell that this man has seen horrors beyond belief. That he had seen many people die over & over again like some sick, twisted TV show rerun & how he would love the change the channel.

"How many earth's have you seen die like this ?"

"I don't know. I lost count at a 4 million."

"Will there be any Earth's left after the Wall is done ?"

" I'm not sure. After the Wall has stopped maybe I can have some rest. I'm so tired of traveling."

A crackling noise, that Wil has been hearing for sometime, is getting louder.

"It approaches." Soothsayer says.

"I'm ready. I know there is nothing that I can do to stop it. I could use the gateway to go to another dimension, but the wall would show up there, too. So, there is no use running." Wil says, now in a mournfully tone. He is ready for the Wall to come for him, but there is so much he has not done but wished he had.

"You are brave man." Soothsayer says.

"No, just ready." Wil Magnuson says just before he disappears into nothingness. He drops the coffee mug. It hits the ground & then disappears soon after him.

Then, Soothsayer disappears to witness another Earth, another destruction, another life lost.

The universe that was Earth Ranchburger is no more. All you can see is a bright white that slowly dims until all that is left is pure, pitch black, darkness. No Life, No Light. The only thing left of the universe that was is a yellow number two pencil. It floats waiting for a writer.

The End!
